Study of chemical structure, properties, and interactions of pharmaceutical substances including organic, inorganic, and analytical chemistry of drugs.
The study of drugs derived from natural sources. Covers identification, extraction, and therapeutic uses of natural products from plants, animals, and minerals.
Study of drug action on biological systems including mechanisms of action, therapeutic uses, adverse effects, and toxicology of pharmaceutical agents.
